Self-Preferencing and Competition of Hybrid Sales Platforms

Project summary

E-commerce websites have a diverse range of revenue generation possibilities, such as intermediating sales, promoting or advertising products, selling their own products, providing dispatching services, and offering customer service. They also collect and manage important data. However, the multiple revenue streams may sometimes lead to conflicts that may impact other stakeholders.

The project Self-Preferencing and Competition of Hybrid Sales Platforms (Acronym: Hybrid), funded by grant ANR-21-CE26-0018-01, aims to understand and investigate the causes of these conflicts, their potential effects and to find ways to address and resolve them in a fair and responsible manner.
